- Supporting Sexual Health and Well-being: Deepen your understanding of what young people, adults, and vulnerable individuals need to maintain good sexual health, and how self-esteem and personal confidence play vital roles in overall well-being.
- Understanding Boundaries and Terminology: Explore key issues surrounding boundaries, consent, and the appropriate terminology to use when discussing sexual health with different age groups, ensuring respectful, and clear communication at all times.
- Sex, the Law, and Safeguarding: Develop an understanding of sex and the law, including age of consent, and learn how to apply the Fraser Guidelines to assess a young person’s maturity and capacity to consent to medical treatment or services. Understand how to safeguard vulnerable individuals in line with current UK laws and safeguarding frameworks, including the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
