Learning from Reviews - Olive
A Child Safeguarding Practice Review (CSPR) aims to identify learning and improve multi-agency practices to better safeguard children, rather than assign blame.
In Cheshire West and Chester, a Rapid Review determines whether a full CSPR is necessary.
In Olive’s case, although criteria for a CSPR were met, the Rapid Review concluded that sufficient learning had already been identified without requiring a full review.
This purpose of this briefing is to share insights across teams and inform practice.
Olive’s lived experience highlights:
- Missed opportunities for intervention
- Why it is necessary to explore the daily reality of children
- The importance of understanding "Cumulative Harm"
