Safeguarding Children Basic Awareness

This course is suitable for Nurseries, Preschools, Out of School Clubs, Childminders and organisations supporting Children and Families.  The course is designed to be interactive, appeal to all learning styles, with opportunities to discuss Safeguarding in a safe environment.

About the course:

This course is designed to enable participants to recognise and know how to respond to children and young people at risk of or who are experiencing harm. On completion of this course, participants will have gained an understanding of:

- What are duty is, in Safeguarding Children

- Definition of abuse

- Signs and symptoms of abuse

- Best practice for recording and referrals

- Safe practice in a work environment

- Current Local and National Key Safeguarding concerns
